Game publisher Activision and the founders of Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward, Jason West and Vince Zampella, have settled their legal differences at the very last minute. The case was expected to go to trial tomorrow.
Usually, 
in the days leading up to a multimillion-dollar trial, both parties keep their mouths shut. But when it’s Jason West and Vince Zampella, the former studio heads of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward, the normal rules go out the window.
The pair sat down with Game Informer for an in-depth conversation, discussing their side of the long battle with their former publisher Activision and revealing a few secrets in the process.

Jason West and Vince Zampella’s case against the company will be heard before a judge on May 7, 2012. Both parties are suing each other over a variety of charges in a soap opera-like tale of betrayal, cash and skullduggery – but the money at stake – hundreds of millions of dollars – is very real.
The war of words between Activision-Blizzard 
and Electronic Arts has moved to a new plateau. Activision has added the rival publisher to its $400 countersuit against the creators of the “Call of Duty” franchise.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved the amendment to the suit Thursday, acknowledging Activision’s allegations that EA wooed Jason West and Vince Zampella, the heads of the wholly-owned Infinity Ward subsidiary, while they were still under contract with Activision.
