The Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas mod, discovered by enthusiasts, unlocked a playable, interactive mini-game where the game’s lead character has sex with his girlfriend. And it opened a Pandora’s Box of controversy when it was exposed.

Norway killer cites video games as training tools

Anders Behring Breivik, who has confessed to killing 77 people in Norway last summer, told the court Thursday that he used video games to help him train for his massacre.

Specifically, Breivik claims he used Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as a tool to “train” for the killings, saying it helped him improve his shot with a “holographic aiming device.”

Bond’s back in ’007 Legends’

Activision has taken the wraps off 007 Legends, a new game for the franchise that’s expected to launch in conjunction with the series’ 50th anniversary. Fifth-grader makes video game for blind grandmother

While most ten-year-olds are happy simplyplaying video games, that wasn’t enough for Dylan Viale.

The fifth-grader, you see, has a very close relationship with his grandmother Sherry, who has been blind for decades. And because of that condition, he wasn’t able to share his love of video games.

So he decided to make one just for her.

Since the story of his handmade cardboard arcade first surfaced on Tuesday, he’s become one of the most popular figures on the Internet. Video game sales continue to plummet, down 25% in March

2012’s losing streak for video game sales unfortunately kept right on going in March.

Sales of video game software were down 25 percent compared to last year. Hardware sales were down 35 percent, according to The NPD Group, which tracks the numbers. The totals, while disappointing, were within the range expected by Wall St. analysts.
