Former ‘Mob Wives’ star sues over use of her life story in Grand Theft Auto V

The gravabo-sues-rockstardaughter of the New York mobster responsible for the downfall of infamous mob boss John Gotti is suing Rockstar Games, saying the developer used her life story in Grand Theft Auto V without her permission.

Karen Gravano, daughter of Sammy “The Bull” Gravano and a former star of the VH1 reality series “Mob Wives,” alleges that a character in the best-selling crime game, Antonia Bottino, is based on her image and life story.

Paid level upgrade in World of Warcraft upsets players, Blizzard responds

Blizzard wow-warlords-of-draenor-payis at the heart of a storm of controversy after players of World of Warcraft caught wind of an offer giving anyone the opportunity to pay their way to a Level 90 character.

The offer was spotted by WoW Insider, who took took a screengrab of what clearly looks like the ability to buy a Level 90 character for a shocking $60. The offer has since been removed.

Report: Sony to unveil its VR gaming headset next month

Rumors sony-vr-headset-cominghave been swirling since last September that Sony plans to introduce a virtual-reality headset for the PlayStation 4. Now it appears the company is preparing to open up about it.

TechRadar, citing unnamed sources, reports the company will unveil the headset at the 2014 Game Developer Conference, which starts in San Francisco on March 17. Other sources, speaking to Yahoo Games, say they also expect the company to make an announcement at the show, though they note it may change its mind at the last minute.

Donkey Kong: Through the Years

Nintendo’s donkey-kong-jpg_191640famous gorilla has come a long way since his 1981 arcade debut. Initially a mortal enemy of Mario, Donkey Kong’s trajectory changed when Super Mario Bros. came along in 1985, bringing with it a new bad guy, Bowser, who promptly took over princess snatching duties in the Nintendo universe. Laid off from that gig, DK became a much friendlier mascot, keeping himself occupied with his family, saving hordes of bananas, taking up the bongos and wearing a tie.

His latest adventure, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, arrives this week for the Wii U. It’s being hailed as another winning game for the big ape, though how will it ultimately stack up against his greatest hits?
