Porn’s great rotation: Goodbye tech, hello 2nd Amendment

Porn, Pornandgunsit would seem, has traded in one set of bedfellows for another.

For 12 years, the Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) and CES went hand in hand. Starting in 2012, however, many attendees of the annual electronics trade show were surprised to find the Sands Convention Center—the former home of the event—bereft of cleavage and porn videos.

Instead, the show had been moved back a week, and had begun running at the same time as the SHOT Show—the annual convention for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting accessories industries. They’ve run concurrently ever since.

50 Cent partners with Intel to create smart earbuds

If 2015 International CESApple hadn’t paid $3 billion for Beats headphones last May, 50 Cent might never have partnered with Intel.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, unveiled a partnership between the chip giant and his SMS Audio at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, introducing the SMS Audio BioSport In-Ear Headphones.

CES 2013 Backbeat: Alicia Keys Headlines Monster Products’ Star-Studded Party

Alicia 2684249-alicia-keys-monster-ces-2-617pxKeys had a busy Wednesday evening. After performing at the People’s Choice Awards, she hopped a plane and headed to Vegas, where she headlined a star-studded party for Monster Products.

As it does every year for its retailer awards at the end of CES, Monster packed in the celebrities with a mix of fans of its product and well known “brand evangelists” to showcase its products for its retail partners and other showgoers.

Costly TVs pave the way for innovations
